The Paradigm Process

Step 1: Introduction Meeting / Free Estimate

How can we help? During our introductory meeting we will discuss your ideas, needs and wants, considering both design and budget. At this time, we will take measurements and generate a list of details required to use in completing the free estimate for you.  With the information gathered at our initial meeting, we will create an overall estimate, a first feasibility, for your project. This estimate is typically delivered within one week depending on the scope of work and at that time we will arrange a time to review it with you. Our objective is to obtain building costs as low as possible and to achieve your overall design and budget goals. It will also outline the timing of your project . Timing is based upon many different factors and is unique to each project. You will receive a schedule at the start of construction; and updates going forward, if needed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Step 2: Concept Design

Once the budget range is determined and we receive your approval to move forward, our architect will draft drawings that showcase your new design. These concepts will include any applicable interior and exterior elevations and will be used to obtain more accurate pricing for your project. There is a separate design fee associated with this step for the architect’s work. It’s a cost- effective way to get expert design with no obligation to the builder. However, if you decide to proceed with our services, this fee will be credited back to your project’s contract.

Step 3: Final Design Review / Pre-Construction

Once your design is complete any revisions needed will be made we will then proceed to working construction drawings. With review and acceptance of the drawings, we will create a second feasibility, draw up a contract for your approval, create structural construction drawings and a detailed job scope, including job bid. Once the contract is signed, let the building begin!

Selections Concierge

Our Selections Concierge is a unique offering and in place at no cost to you. We created this position to help make the detailed process of choosing finishes a little less stressful. While final drawings and permits are processing, they will help direct you to resources for your options, be a pair of second eyes or offer a design opinion when asked. They will also assist to ensure appropriate timing of installation throughout construction.

Step 4 : Construction

The permits are in, your selections are made and we are ready to begin your project! We will coordinate a pre-construction meeting and this will be your introduction to our construction team and we will review all selections and specifications. This way everyone involved is on the same page when construction begins and any potential mishaps are avoided.

Project Management

An experienced Project Manager will be assigned to your project, to oversee and coordinate all daily activities. The Project Manager will be your direct point-of-contact to work with you on scheduling, service, and any additional decisions or changes throughout construction.

Orientation

Construction is complete – time to enjoy your new space! We will walk through the final project with you, show you how various items function, and share helpful information on maintenance and performance of materials and mechanical pieces.

Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.
